Live broadcast from the Denver Center for Performing Arts

International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. March 8 has been the global date for IWD since 1914 when women across Europe held rallies to campaign against the war and to express women’s solidarity. Since 2013, WorldDenver has hosted Denver’s premier International Women’s Day celebration. The event continues to expand, with over 800 people participating. Every year thousands of events are held to inspire women and celebrate their achievements, but also to highlight areas where work remains to be done in business, politics, education, health and combating gender-based violence.
