Welcoming Dr. Amanda Kelly as Girl Scouts of Colorado’s Next CEO

Girl Scouts of Colorado is excited to welcome Dr. Amanda Kelly as its next Chief Executive Officer. 

Dr. Kelly will join GSCO on August 24, 2026, and will work closely with Leanna Clark and the Girl Scouts of Colorado Board of Directors to support a smooth transition. 

Dr. Kelly comes to GSCO after 14 years at Firefly Autism, a Colorado nonprofit serving children and families, where she has served as President and CEO since 2021. She holds a doctorate in Psychological Science and Behavior Analysis and is a Girl Scout Lifetime Member. 

Throughout her career, Dr. Kelly has focused on helping young people thrive by creating the right environments, relationships, and opportunities around them. That same belief is at the heart of Girl Scouts. 

“I have spent my career focused on what young people need to thrive: strong relationships, supportive environments, and meaningful opportunities,” said Dr. Kelly. “That is what Girl Scouts delivers every day, girl by girl and troop by troop. I am honored to join Girl Scouts of Colorado and look forward to meeting girls, volunteers, families, staff, and partners across the state, hearing what they love about Girl Scouts, and learning how we can build on that strength together.” 

Dr. Kelly is looking forward to getting out across Colorado after she begins in August to meet Girl Scouts, volunteers, families, staff, and partners. GSCO will share opportunities to welcome her in the weeks ahead.
