Troop 65659's Hometown Hero: WOW! Children's Museum

Every year, Girl Scout multi-level Troop 65659 chooses a special Hometown Hero that goes the extra mile to be inclusive of families who need to avoid infection. This year, they were inspired by WOW! Children’s Museum. The non-profit children’s museum in Lafayette annually holds several events that were specially planned to be safer for families with health needs around infection. Additionally, WOW! Children’s Museum even hosts birthday parties that can also accommodate different needs. Several of the troop members have enjoyed the exhibits there on multiple occasions, thanks to the accommodations provided. The troop dropped off 183 packages of donated cookies for the staff and volunteers of the museum!
