My family has a close friend that owns a business downtown on Main St. Mackenzie was invited to set up a booth during their second anniversary celebration. During her time at the booth, she met a kangaroo for the very first time. Rex is a kangaroo that will be included at a petting zoo nearby. He was a big hit during the celebration, along with the Girl Scout Cookies, of course!
During the two years that Mackenzie has been in Girl Scouts, she has started to speak up for herself. She has found her voice and breaking out of her shell. Through Girl Scouts, Mackenzie and fellow Girl Scout sisters have had experiences they wouldn’t normally have outside of Girl Scouts. They enjoy meeting new friends, like Rex, and going on adventures together.
