Get Started Volunteering from Home with Girl Scouts

Whether you are a college-student, retiree, or anyone looking to give back to your community, Girl Scouts of Colorado has an exciting, new volunteer opportunity for you — from the comfort of your home!

Start your volunteer experience from home as a volunteer helping girls in our virtual troop program! Virtual troops meet six times  online and each meeting lasts 30 minutes to an hour. The meetings can be one to two times per week for three to six weeks. Volunteers would work alongside a Girl Scout staff person to lead girls through fun and creative activities during 30 minutes to an hour-long meeting, one to two times a week. The goal of the virtual troop program is to help transition participating family members into a troop leadership role.

If you think this sounds like a fun opportunity to give back to girls in your community, join us for an upcoming new volunteer chat!  This chat is geared toward new and interested volunteers to Girl Scouts of Colorado, living in the Denver metro or Western Slope areas, as a way to learn more about our volunteering from home opportunity. During this online event, you will learn what our volunteering from home program looks like, what it means to be a part of a virtual troop and to be a virtual volunteer, and all the fun and exciting opportunities you can bring girls in your community through our virtual troop program!

At Girl Scouts of Colorado, we believe in giving girls the tools to empower themselves to take action, advocate for themselves and their communities, and to create the future they want to see.

By volunteering to be a positive adult role model in girls’ lives, you can make a lasting impact. Join today!

*Denver-area Chats are hosted on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 5pm and are online events. You will receive a Zoom link upon registration. Please email Emily Corson (emily.corson@gscolorado.org) or Ellie Busch (ellie.busch@gscolorado.org) to RSVP or for additional questions.

Western Slope chats are scheduled: Sept. 2  Sept. 9 Sept. 16
