Colorado’s newest Shakespeare Garden gets help from a Girl Scout

Submitted by Robert Dotson Colorado Springs

Junior Juliette Allie spent the last month working with Mountain Ridge Middle School drama teacher Chelley Gardner-Smith to improve the state’s newest (and soon to be largest) Shakespeare Garden. Allie jumped on the chance to help out by assembling a team, developing a proposal and budget, and procuring, painting, and placing stepping stones in the walkways. Thanks to the vision of Mrs. G-S, a grant from the state, and support from area Girl Scouts like Allie, the garden promises to provide entertainment, aesthetic beauty, learning opportunities, and food for the school campus for years to come.
