February 17 is Random Acts of Kindness Day
Happy Random Acts of Kindness Day! Now more than ever, people could use more kindness in their lives. Scientific evidence proves the positive effects of doing kind acts for others, as well as receiving or even witnessing kindness. Even the smallest act of kindness can change a life!
Girl Scouts of Colorado teamed up with the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation, which is based in Colorado, to provide you with some activities and resources to spread kindness today and throughout the year:
Download this worksheet and list five day-to-day activities you do. Then, next to each activity, write a way you can do the same activity, but with an added element of kindness.
Print a poster to put up in your home, school, or place of work to help spread ideas of being kind.
Print coloring sheets to learn about acts of kindness.
Take action all year long with the activities suggested in this yearly kindness calendar.
Check out other activities and resources at https://www.randomactsofkindness.org/
We would love to hear what random acts of kindness you do! Share your stories to inspire others to spread kindness here on the GSCO Blog or on social media. Be sure to tag us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, or send us a private message. Twitter and Instagram users should also use #GSColo and #GirlScoutsGiveBack.
