Zombie Survival Challenge Patch

We’ve been DYING to share our modified version of the Zombie Survival Challenge Patch program that was originally created by our Girl Scout sisters in Western Washington. While we wish we could be completing this patch together at one of our fun events, completing it on your own is still fun.

Natural disasters can be scary, but should not be feared if you are prepared! In this patch program, ghouls… we mean GIRLS… will complete activities to prepare themselves and their family if a natural disaster struck. This patch program is for all ages, including adults! And, as your girl(s) grow and advance, they can take on a new Zombie challenge for their new age level.

The first step of this challenge begins with girls identifying the types of disasters that are pertinent to their community. Girls will then work through the tools to help their Zombie (and their family) survive. These tools include:

  1. Water

  2. Light and Heat

  3. First-Aid

  4. Pets

  5. Cooking

  6. Food

  7. Shelter

  8. Communications

  9. Mutual Aid

As you work through this patch program, you will explore different tools that your Zombie needs to have to survive. Depending on your program level, you will need to complete a different number of requirements.

Did you already complete the requirements? You can purchase the patch through Girl Scouts of Western Washington’s Shop.

We want to hear how your girl is using her Girl Scout skills by taking initiative, caring for the community, and Girl Scouting at home. She can send in her story here.
