In honor of Volunteer Appreciation month some of the GSCO partners are offering special promotions for our volunteers!

Denver Botanic Gardens

The Denver Botanic Gardens has so many areas to explore, events to attend and collections to see. You could spend hours there enjoying the 24 acres of an ever-widening diversity of plants from all corners of the world.

Denver Botanic Gardens is celebrating Volunteer Appreciation Month by offering free admission to the Gardens April 16 – 22 to Girl Scout volunteers. You’ll need to bring your membership card to show admissions upon entry to be granted one complimentary admission.

You can find your membership card in your myGS account to print and bring to the Denver Botanic Gardens:

  1. Log in to your account on myGS

  2. Navigate to My Household

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “View household membership cards”

Girl Scout volunteers do not need to reserve their tickets in advance.

Why visit the Denver Botanic Gardens?

Denver Botanic Gardens has hosted many Girl Scout educational workshops in the past and is doing so in the future. Explore this beautiful area and dream up ideas of what your troop can do there! On May 20, the Gardens is hosting Girl Scout Juniors Create a Garden Exploration Day. Sign your troop up for this event and get to the gardens in April to wander and enjoy all that nature has in store for you.

Margaret Brown may be best known as a survivor of the Titanic, but she was so much more. Hear her incredible story as you tour her home with one of their knowledgeable guides. Learn about her family and the integral roles they played in her life, most especially that of husband J.J. Brown. Mother, wife, philanthropist, suffragist, actress – Margaret Brown’s story is so much bigger than anything you’ve seen in the movies.

Denver Zoo

Explore your wild side alongside the over 3,000 animals that inhabit the Denver Zoo. The Denver Zoo is offering all Girl Scout Volunteers 20% off any membership level throughout April. Use code: DZGirlScouts at checkout before April 30.

The Denver Zoo offers fun and unique experiences for Girl Scouts to get up close and personal with different members and explore what it takes to run a zoo. On April 15, the Denver Zoo is hosting a Secret Science Day that will let participants get an inside view of the zoo, learning some of the unique ways keepers, veterinarians, nutritionists, trainers, and exhibit designers meet the challenges of caring for our wild family.
