Troop 75980 helps replant the love after Marshall fire tragedy

About Us

We are troop 75980. We are based at Fireside Elementary School in Louisville, CO. The Marshall Fire affected our community and we’re looking to help replant the love here.

Our Bronze Award Project

Our troop is buying plants and pots to plant and offer to our families impacted by the Marshall Fire. The houses that were affected by the Marshall Fire lost their houseplants, whether their house burned, or they lost all their plants due to smoke damage or freezing temperatures.

How You Can Help Expand This Project

Our troop is taking care of the houseplants, but we’re learning that people are also wanting winter holiday decorations. That’s where we need help! If your troop, or someone in your community, wants to collect and donate NEW items, we’ll include these in our houseplant giveaway to families on December 4th. People are looking for Christmas and Hanukkah decorations (reusable wreaths, lights, ornaments, stockings, house decorations, Menorahs, etc.) and general winter decorations (like snowmen, snowflakes, winter wreaths, pinecone decor, etc.).

If interested in collecting and donating items, please email Merica at GSTroop75980@gmail.com. Drop off items at the Louisville Rec Center (900 Via Appia Way, Louisville, CO 80027) from 2-2:30pm on Dec. 4th OR at the Loveland Girl Scout office (7275 Rocky Mountain Ave, Suite #420, Loveland, CO 80538) on Friday, Dec. 2nd from 2-4pm. If other arrangements need to be made, feel free to email.
