Day of Dance with Colorado Ballet

Update as of December 2: Due to overwhelming interest in Girl Scout Day of Dance with Colorado Ballet, we have added a second session on January 9, 2021!

Update as of November 19, 2020: This event has reached capacity.

Day of Dance with Colorado Ballet is Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 9:30 – 11:15 a.m. This at-home opportunity is $12/participant and you can purchase an optional patch for $3. Capacity is limited! Register now: https://gscolorado.formstack.com/forms/day_of_dance_with_the_colorado_ballet_virtual_12_12_2020

Girl Scouts will experience three different dance genres throughout the program including ballet, jazz, and creative movement. Dancers will be exposed to the specific techniques as well as improvisation and dance concepts. The program will start promptly at 9:30 a.m., please make sure to log in on time. 2020 Day of Dance patches are available for purchase with registration.

Participating in this program will help meet requirements for the following badges:

  1. Daisy Courageous and Strong petal

  2. Brownie Dancer badge

  3. Junior Staying Fit badge

After completing the registration form, all Girl Scouts attending must also complete the form linked in your confirmation email to participate on December 12. This additional form includes acknowledgement of the Colorado Ballet’s terms and conditions. Girl Scouts will not be permitted to participate if this form is not completed. Information on how to join the program via Zoom will be emailed out to everyone on Wednesday, December 9.

Girls: Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in! The Colorado Ballet recommends anyone under the age of 7 to be barefoot as it helps to integrate plantar reflexes. Otherwise, barefoot is great for all ages unless girls have ballet slippers or socks, they would like to wear. Don’t forget to keep a water bottle and snack nearby.

Registration will close Thursday, December 3 OR when capacity is met.

All girls attending must have a 2021 Girl Scout membership. Girl Scouts outside of Colorado are welcome to attend.

If you are having trouble completing registration, please contact inquiry@gscolorado.org or 877-404-5708.

We want to hear how your girl is using her Girl Scout skills by taking initiative, caring for the community, and Girl Scouting at home. She can send in her story here.
