Being a CIT at Magic Sky has been a truly magical experience. I spent one week learning everything I needed to know as well as experiencing all that camp had to offer. I learned so much in that first week, I thought I knew everything. Truth is, I learned new things every week from the different people I worked with. It was amazing learning everything.
Not only did I get to learn, I got to see camp from the counselors perspective. The staff treated me as one of their own. I’ve been going to Girl Scout camp for eight summer and to have the opportunity to learn and act as a counselor has been the summer of a lifetime.
I’ve had the best six weeks of my life. Learning how to be a counselor and then being a CIT in the units is something that I wish every girl would try. I learned so much about camp and myself. If I had the chance to do it again, I would do it in a heartbeat.
