I think that it is important for people to get outside, take a break from technology, and engage with nature.
My project aims to create awareness of the importance of spending purposeful time with nature by engaging the five senses and making it fun. Through the unique obstacles, such as covid and the resulting employee-turnover, and the various paths it took to complete the Gold Award, I learned how to make information more accessible to different populations of people, persevere through challenges, and grow in my communication skills.
Having been a Girl Scout for 13 years, and now a Lifetime Member, means going on many adventures (badgework, outdoor adventure club, travel), meeting new people, seeking out service to others, and learning important life skills that push me to become a better leader.
