Solar United Neighbors (SUN) has developed the SUN Patch Program which can be implemented by any Girl Scout across the United States! While earning the SUN patch, Girl Scouts of all ages will learn about how solar works, discover solar energy at work around them, and become solar ambassadors to help grow solar in their communities.
Girl Scouts can start earning the Solar United Neighbors (SUN) Patch by downloading the patch program PDF. Reach out to Solar United Neighbors directly at getinvolved@solarunitedneighbors.org to let them know that your Girl Scouts will be working on the SUN patch! They can answer questions, offer ideas, and provide more ways to get involved with solar.
Follow the instructions in the “Reporting” section at the end of the patch program PDF to receive the SUN patches for your Girl Scouts.
Since its inception in 2018, more than 1,000 Girl Scouts from 104 troops across 26 different states have earned their SUN patch!
