Dreaming of a getaway

Girl Scouts, ages 6 – 18, who have parents serving in the military or who have been honorably discharged, are encouraged to apply for travel funds through the The Carla Montana – Distinguished Military Veteran Girl Scout Adventure Fund. Girls from military families anywhere in Colorado are eligible, with priority given to girls from El Paso County.

In memory of Carla, who truly valued her Girl Scout experience, this fund was established to enable girls to expand their learning opportunities, and find the joy and camaraderie acquired through travel and adventure. Travel can be any independent overnight experience domestic or overseas that enriches a girl’s personal or Girl Scout experience. Travel must be sponsored by GSUSA, GSCO, WAGGGS or another Girl Scout/Girl Guide organization.
