Daisy troop 76076 gives back to community

At the beginning of the cookie season we asked our girls how they wanted to give back to our community. We gave them 3-4 options and they unanimously voted to donate our Hometown Hero packages to the Wellington Food Bank. They also decided that we should donate some of our cookie profits to the food bank so they could buy what they needed most.

After talking more about it during cookie season, we decided to organize a food drive too. We set up a donation bin at Ridley’s Family Market here in Wellington for a week, and today, our Daisy troop handed off their collected donation in addition to our HTH packages and our monetary donation directly to representatives from the Wellington Food Bank. They were impressed by “how much 8 little girls were able to collect,” but we knew that they’d do a great job! We’re so proud of them for thinking of others in our community, and for wanting to give so generously.
